Your website is the closest thing to a "linguistic drug addiction" that I have ever seen. I can literally sit for hours looking at everything on it i.e. alphabets, pronunciation, phrases, etc. I am so glad that I discovered it (although I don't for the life of me remember how I heard about it). ????? ?????

I tend to go simple and just the natural lighting where I can, with supplemental lighting when needed. I also don’t pose my subjects. I let them go about their day and will take photos from observational areas. They tend to look a lot more natural that way. Also, even though I’ll do a day where I am taking pictures, I try to go back when they’re not expecting me, with the excuse I need a few more pictures of their location. Usually, they overdress/makeup on photo days and look more like themselves when it’s unexpected. For example, a baker I was shooting had on full makeup, when I knew she never wore makeup at work.

Do you use supplemental lighting? In my experience, addition of some soft light from a speedlight/umbrella setup can really enhance an environmental portrait, but it does complicate and slow down the process, draw attention from others in the area, and can make it more difficult for your subject to relax.
