I did some research. True, Sony cannot tether to LR natively. However, TetherTools now has The Solution — https://tethertools.com/product/smart-shooter-4/

It appears that LR will not do tethering for Sony A cameras (specifically 7R3, 7R4 or A1). Is that really true???

I’m connected and everything is working perfectly. I see there is a way to view my live camera view, but it disables me from taking the picture from the camera, I have to take the picture from the function in Lightroom Classic. Is there a way to still take the picture from the camera?

Also, I notice that the camera doesn’t focus the same on the computer Live View as it does when Im taking handheld photos–is there a reason for this? Thank you!

Hi, I have updated the latest version of Lightroom 10.2 and EOS Utility Software 3.0. My EOS R does not detect in Light room when connected? I do get a box that says “No Camera Detected”
Please advice…

Does Light room detects Canon EOS R . I have updated the latest version of Lightroom 10.2 and EOS Utility Software 3.0. My EOS R does not detect in Light room when connected?I do get the same box like the way you have demonstrated.”No Camera Detected”

I have a canon eos 7d mark II and the EOS utility software. when I go into “live shooting mode” I am able to see changes in white balance in the preview window as well as focusing changes depending on what I click on in the preview window. But the issue i’m having is that when I change f stop or iso or shutter speed or exposure, the live preview of those changes do not show, until the picture has already been taken and I get the pop up of what the picture actually looks like. any tips?
